Nationalbibliothek / National Library
There is no place which offers more history and written treasures. More than 11 million books, prints, pictures, maps and publications are waiting in Vienna’s National Library to inspire you.
3 Euro for a day ticket. One-year ticket: 10 Euro. You need your ID for the issue of the user card.

MAK Lesesaal/ Reading Room
The library within the Museum of Applied Arts is within easy reach and offers a beautiful atmosphere. All for free. If you need some fresh air in between you can jog or walk around the Stadtpark. If you need a coffein boost don’t worry, you are surrounded by some of Vienna’s best coffee houses.

Wienbibliothek in the City Hall
Insider location for studying, to be found in the City Hall, the Rathaus. No entry fee. ID card is needed for registration.

Universitätsbibliothek Wien
The library of the university is the home of 7 million books. Very popular reading / studying place. No entry fee. If you are looking for a more quiet alternative go to the Lehrbuchsammlung. By the way: it's only a few minutes walk from our home4students dormitory Sensengasse.

Learning Center Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien
The WU Campus is not only a modern treasure in terms of architecture, but also offers the perfect surrounding for a successful study. Learning zones, comfort zones and quiet rooms. And if you need to give your brain a rest and some fresh air, the Prater is just next to the area.

Libraries in Vienna
There are many, not all of them with WLAN, but the most spectacular reading and studying spot is Vienna’s main library at the Gürtel. You will find everything there, from easy to read newspapers to the most important books of the world’s literature.
Day ticket: 3,80 Euro. ID in case you want to lend some books.
